Dam Walentina is a half-sister of Idjaz-C who in turn is the mother of none less than McLain Ward's one-million-dollar horse Sapphire! This duo won a gold medal during the Beijing team competition and got an endless number of victories during the years.
And there is more to discover from Idjaz: Qarco van 't Merelsnest is a Darco stallion who jumped 1.60 with Robin Sweely and also Wendelina van' t Merelsnest, the full sister of Sapphire, jumped 1m50 and is the mother of several sport horses such as the approved stallions Edjaz van 't Merelsnest, Koblenz-W van' t Merelsnest and probably the most famous,  VDL Glasgow van 't Merelsnest, the Nabab de Reve son of Jur Vrieling!
More to mention are Karaat van 't Merelsnest and Domina van' t Merelsnest, they all advanced to the 1m45 level. Another half-sister of Sapphire is Maureen van 't Merelsnest, successful at 1m50 level and dam of Mr. Harrison (Darco) who jumps 1.45, and of the approved stallion Je Reve van 't Merelsnest.
Walentina, in turn, is the base of several international horses such as Bolero 111 (Carmen Novion) and La Luna de Mauretus (Jan v Dyck). Multiple descendants of Walentina and thus half-brothers and sisters of this embryo jumped to 1.55 and 1.45 level. Also, her daughter Die’hard 111 Z is the dam of the approved stallion Eyeball vd Moervelde Z, currently making his way up with Bernardo Mathias.
